Per the Mississippi Code 1972 Annotated 31-7-305, "All public bodies that are authorized to issue checks in payment of goods and services ... shall mail or otherwise deliver such checks no later than forty-five (45) after receipt of the invoice and receipt, inspection and approval of the goods and services ..."
